Mike Wright
VW2013, all up to date as far as i can see When i add a certain class to my render it makes the scene dark and most of the 3d shadowing from ambient light disappears . Is there a setting within the layer that would cause this? Pictures attached, the only difference is i have hidden the 'lighting-focus points' class thanks, i'm a bit new to this! michaelk
Are the green uplights in the lighting=focus points class? If those are the only lights on, and their class is set to invisible, then VW will add a (very big) light in the same position as the "camera" of the view. Try moving those lights to a different class. You may need to add additional lights or turn up the ambient lighting. hth mk Quote Link to comment
Mike Wright
Hi Michael Thanks for your reply The lights are in a Lighting-Fixtures class and the Focus points in Lighting-Focus points If I move the up lights to a new 'test' class, hide the focus points class and re-render with the 'test' class visible i get the same effect. Turning up the ambient just bleaches out everything. Edited July 22, 2013 by Mike Wright Quote Link to comment
Mike Wright
ok, so going by your first post, I added environmental lighting from a renderworks background which seems to have done the trick thanks Quote Link to comment
