DCarpenter
I copied and pasted an old script into a new one I'm writing and after I save it and close it, the next time I opened it, my script had reformatted it's self into a one line script. All the returns for every line of the script were deleted, so the 80+ line script appears as a one line script that's super long. It still compiles but is a pain to edit and work with. How do I keep this from happening? ...or what did I do? Dave Quote Link to comment
Hippocode
Where did you copy from ? Quote Link to comment
MullinRJ
Paste your text into a simple text editor first, like TextEdit on the Mac or NotePad on the PC. Then copy from there and paste it into VW. This should fix the EndOfLine character(s) for the platform you are using. Raymond Quote Link to comment
DCarpenter
Hippothamus: I copied the script from within VW, from one script to another. Raymond: I've done exactly what you've described. As a matter of fact the only way for me to edit the script is to open the saved text file I've made in TextEdit and copy/paste it into Vectorscript. When I do that all the formatting is correct and the script is easy to work with and edit, until I save and exit the editor. When I open it up again, everything is back to only a few lines of script. So I've had to make sure I update my text file every time I update anything in VW. Quote Link to comment
