invalid parameters?

Trying to set the location and height for a camera shot. A box pops up saying 'Object creation failed due to invalid parameters". I can't find any info on this?

That error is usually from trying to create a 3d object which intersects itself or is otherwise discontinuous, usually NURBS surfaces or Sweeps or Extrude Along Path or the like. Are you trying to manipulate the camera object on the drawing window? Maybe you grabbed a handle on some object in the drawing instead of the camera, and dragged it past Vectorworks ability to reshape it?

Or is this error box appearing when trying to adjust the camera values in the Object Info Palette (OIP)? In my setup, if I adjust a camera value beyond it's capacity (eg too much tilt or field of view value), I get a beep alert and the OIP value changes to the max allowed.

It's helpful for troubleshooting if your posts include a signature with your Vectorworks version info and a bit about your computer setup. To do this, click the My Stuff tab near top of this forum window and create a profile with signature.
