J. Wallace
Just finished a site model which included a warehouse, parking area, retaining walls and driveway. I have had some challenges with pads on this model which match up with neighboring pads. If for instance pad "A" has a slope running north to south and it is next to another pad running east west you end up with a lip as the two surfaces do not meet along the entire edge. See attachment. The slope feature is great, but is there any way to slope pads in multiple directions much like a parking lot surface might flow??? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted February 4, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 4, 2013 Hi Jamie In haste as I am in the middle of a training course... take a look at the Grade Tool. I'll answer more fully later, but that should help you out. Quote Link to comment
J. Wallace
Hi Tamsin VW Landmark 2013 does not seem to have a grade tool. Looks like a grade limits tool is available, it that what you meant? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted February 4, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 4, 2013 Hi Jamie No - the Grade Limits is the version of the SIte Modifiers tool that limits how much of the site updates. The Grade tool is a separate tool in the Site Planning toolset. You could also create a 3D Polygon, with vertices set at the desired elevations, and put this in the Site-DTM-Modifiers class. That will turn it into a site modifier. Hope that helps Quote Link to comment
