Ran Posted January 6, 2013 Share Posted January 6, 2013 I recently Imported Autocad plant symbols into a Vectorworks file. When I copy and paste a symbol into another file all is well. When I create a new plant with the symbol it disappears. The symbols is not also visible in the preview window of the plant creator. The symbol is on a visible class. When I select the pasted symbol to create plant the height and width is 0. I do not know if this may have some bearing otherwise I am really stuck on this one. Th Ran Quote Link to comment
IanH Posted January 6, 2013 Share Posted January 6, 2013 Check that the contents (lines, fills etc) of the plant symbol are also in visible classes. They will not be the same classes as the class symbol. Also worth checking the import scale vs design layer scale. It may just be that the imported symbol is at 1:1 and you design layer is 1:100 etc thus your plant will be 100x too small. You can check this within the symbol and look at dimensions in oip.
