Anthony Doran
Hi All, I am fairly new to vector works and have not used it in a 3d capacity much. I have drawn a basic studio with 4 walls. I have built a texture and applied that successfully to the wall. I then inserted a door into the wall. When I look at this in a 3d view I can not see through the open door as the wall is still where there should be no wall. I hope that makes sense! I will try and attach an image to help explain. Thanks All Ant Quote Link to comment
VincentCuclair
It probably means you haven't inserted the door into the wall, you need to make sure the wall highlights while inserting. Make sure you have the Wall Insertion mode button checked when the Door Tool is active. (Tip: I usually have the Wall Insertion Mode unchecked when the Selection Tool is active to avoid from dragging the door 'out' of the wall when moving it, which easily happens, the settings for these 2 are unconnected.) Jonathan Pickup
When you select the door, does the Object Info palette show Door, or Door in Wall. it should show Door in Wall, then the door will break a hole in the wall. Quote Link to comment
