I ask because basically you determine what settings and from what reference line the wall should change, is it a bug or a hitch I haven't hit upon....... 0 Christiaan
It's usually when you have three-wall join but it can be a series of of other joins on the wall somewhere that lock it in place. You can't drag these walls without breaking the relevant wall join for instance. And when you replace the wall style it ignores your choice of alignment and simply aligns to the centre of the wall. 0 VincentCuclair
Ah! OK I understand, so it's the constraints at the wall join that are overriding the 'new' wall from adjusting according to your chosen reference line. Yup definitely a problem, wall joins need to become more intuitive, the same situation occurs at a 3 wall join and you simply try to drag one of the walls, won't work, should work! Yeap, got a ticket in for that one too: http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=171245 Quote Link to comment

0 Christiaan
Did I say critical? Nemetschek, we've got to be able to trust that Vectorworks won't move walls just because we've added or removed a component. We can't afford to be going around an entire project checking wall positions every time we edit a wall style. Apart from being inaccurate we look like [expletive] idiots when the contractor has updated set out drawings where walls have moved by 7 mm! Ughh. Quote Link to comment
