J. Wallace Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 Occasionally I get some strange behavior while placing plant symbols. I go to place a symbol and it ends offsetting itself from the desired spot. Not all symbols do this, and the offset is different from symbol to symbol. Any ideas??? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted September 17, 2012 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 17, 2012 Hi Jamie Double-click the plant, and choose to edit the 2D geometry. Select all the elements and choose Modify > Group. Now, on the Object Info palette, change the X and Y coordinates of the center of the object to 0,0. (Use the 9-dot grid to make sure you are changing the X and Y or the center.) This centers the plant on it's insertion point. Click Exit Plant. That should solve the problem. Hope that helps!
