TimG Posted April 25, 2012 Share Posted April 25, 2012 I remember a new feature of 2011 being the roof connect / combine... however i can not get it to work... I am using the right combine/extend tool shown in various you-tube videos... can someone tell me if there is a trick to it... is it because my I used the AEC create roof command to create it... can i convert my AEC roof to whatever it needs to be to be able to utilize the combine/ connect feature? any help or a point in the right direction appreciated. Farookey Posted April 25, 2012 Share Posted April 25, 2012 Hi... That feature is meant to work with 'Roof Faces'. Your roof objects can be ungrouped to become roof faces if you wish. HTH Quote Link to comment
Christiaan Posted April 25, 2012 Share Posted April 25, 2012 You can extend faces of the Roof tool too, by selecting the Roof then clicking on the relevant blue handle, then adjusting the Eave Overhang figure. Quote Link to comment
TimG Posted April 25, 2012 Author Share Posted April 25, 2012 Thanks guys... i knew about the extend faces with the blue grips... i was particularly interested in trying to extend and auto trim roofs crashing into another roof so i can see the valley lines in hidden line mode... how do I ungroup a roof... when i right click it don't see any option to do so...
