Craig D.S.
Greetings... I would like to begin learning VS after my income tax filing is over, and would like to start on some primitive creation first. anybody have any examples of creating 2d or 3d objects to get started with. I hope to learn how to cunstruct CSG objects eventually Much Appreciated Quote Link to comment
JBenghiat
Craig, If you're interested in just seeing how to draw objects with VS, one thing to try is creating a drawing and choosing Export to VectorScript. You can open the result in a text editor. The result won't be too much help in terms of complex programming methods, but it does give you a quick way to see object creation routines. -Josh Quote Link to comment
Craig D.S.
That is a good place to start, thanks...its almost like a macro recorder... Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
Craig - A few months ago our users' group (McVUG) spent a meeting creating simple PIOs. I've attached the resulting VSO. It simply creates a hybrid box and places a text string. You might find tinkering with it to be helpful, as it demonstrates OIP parameters, subroutines, variables, 2D (a rectangle and text), and 3D (an extrusion). Happy coding... Quote Link to comment
