Monadnoc
I've looked all over but I can't find an option in the Landscape Area Tool for randomizing the plant rotations (similar to the Random Plant Rotation check box in the Rectangular/Triangular Array modes of the Place Plant Tool). Am I missing something? Is there another way to randomize the rotation? Right now, the Place Plant by Rectangular/Triangular Array gives me the random rotation, and the Landscape Area Tool gives me the random species mix/layout/distribution. If there was a tool that did both, it would be perfect. And extremely useful (in fact, critical) for laying out more realistic grass areas/lawns, naturalized areas, preserved areas, wooded areas, etc. Thanks. Monadnoc Quote Link to comment

Monadnoc
That's what I was afraid of, but I wanted to be sure I wasn't just missing something obvious before I wish-listed it. I've already come up with an idea for a not-so-grand workaround for what I'm trying to do, and that's for each plant I include in the mix, create 5 or 6 versions which have different rotations. Hopefully that will fool the eye enough to make it look natural, depending on the angle and view of the camera. If it works, I'll post an example render later. Thanks. Monadnoc Quote Link to comment
