Pete (STZ)
Does anyone know of a shortcut so you when you are in a viewport annotation, you can switch to the design layers visible in viewport. This would be very useful as it is quite common when dimensioning, or adding notes in the annotation layer that you want to flick back to the design layer to quickly change something. thanks Pete Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Yes there is. While in a viewport annotation - right click on an empty space. Two of the options will be Edit Crop and Edit Design Layer. Choose Edit Design Layer. There will be a pull down to choose which design layer. Make sure "Navigate Back to Viewport" is selected. This will take you back to the design layer with an edit border and return button in the top right. It look just like the screen you see when editing a symbol or group. After making the edit you want, click the Return to Viewport button and you will be returned to viewport annotations. hth mk Quote Link to comment
Pete (STZ)
hmmm... I swear I did not see that earlier...how long has it been there. Thanks Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
It's been like that for at least two versions, maybe more. There is also lots of cool stuff in the contextual menus (or right clicks on objects) including many similar shortcuts. You can also set up pretty much any command(s) you want in the contextual menus, for example I have Add Surface and Subtract Surface there right at the top because I use them all the time... Pete (STZ)
yep there is... It was in 2009 - just had not noticed it - must be blind. I have recently added "align/distribute" to mine - seem more natural to do this than use a short cut key. Quote Link to comment
