VW2010 crashes when attempting to import a DWG file

Every time I try to import a dwg file from AutoCAD VW2010 completely crashes. I've tried several different files, all from the same person, and each one crashes VW.

If I use VW2008 it imports fine.

I have installed SP3 just now, hoping it would fix the mystery, but alas no.

Nemetschek please tell me there's some obvious explanation for this? It's Saturday night, and I'm in my office once again cursing your name to every god I can think of.

What happens when you import in 2008, save the file and open it in 2010?

Could you post one of the dwgs here so I can try it.

Troubleshooting crashes without knowing your computer specs is impossible. Put the info in your signature along with your version of Vectorworks including updates.

Raymond, I did that trick, and it imports in 2008 fine, and opens in 2010 with no issues.

Ray I can't post the DWG because of disclosure issues.
