feuer feuer
Does anyone already have anything like a translucent paper texture that they've made? I'm trying to make a typical kind of Chinese lantern with an emitter inside but whatever texture I give to the sphere shape around the light I can't seem to get the light to shine through it. Has anyone done this before or know if it's possible to make an object like this? Edited March 14, 2010 by feuer feuer Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Have you tried the various Glass and Plastic textures that are included in renderworks? One of them might give you what you want, but if not I think you might fiddle with one that's close and get there pretty easily. I would guess that what you are looking for is something translucent? See attached image (A sweep using Glass-blue with a light inside) Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Feure experiment using the leather, granite and marble shaders with varying transparency. Use a point light source inside and give it a yellow colour so it more closely represents the type of light that would be used. Quote Link to comment
