joerg
having 2 layers created a viewport and set the top layer in the viewport layervisibilties to grey ind rendered beautyfully transparent. But in 2010 it doesn't!! am i missing something? or is this a bug? This was ( or hopefully is a very nice feature!) Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Check your Preference and make sure you have Quartz Imaging turned on. I think this is required for transparency effects. Quote Link to comment

Pat Stanford
Your right. It seems to be broken in VW2010. If you use a Unified View and render in OpenGL, the grey layers are translucent. If you do the same thing in a viewport, they are opaque. Can you use Fast Renderworks instead? Slower, but at least it does the transparency. Funny, but OpenGL does work in Design Layer Viewports. But when you make a Sheet Layer Viewport of the layer with the Design Layer Viewport it does not work. Quote Link to comment
joerg
Thanks again. i might report it as a bug than! Hey i paid for an upgrade not a downgrade ;-) There are probably workarrounds but i liked the siplicity of it! And i like the look and speed of openGL. It has a bit of the Sketchup look, still a drawing not too realistic!!! cheers Joerg Quote Link to comment
