Ray Libby
Have you updated to Service Pack 2? If so please add it to your signature. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted February 23, 2010 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 23, 2010 Make sure you have updated to the most recent service pack. It sounds like you may have used the create similar tool and set the defaults for the lighting device. SP1 or SP2 addresses this issue with the create similar tool. Quote Link to comment
lane912
i have updated vw, and still have this problem with the label legend. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Can you post a picture or file that shows the problem? Quote Link to comment
lane912
this is what shows up when a light is inserted and a lable legend is assigned to it. the light i inserted is a vl100 Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Wow. You might have your label legend inside a symbol definition... or.... something strange. Can you create a file w/ just one misbehaving fixture inserted and post it? michaelk Quote Link to comment
lane912
here is a file that shows the issue Quote Link to comment
michaelk
I'm able to insert instruments in your file using the inst. insertion tool. Works as expected. If I move the Frankenstein instrument you had inserted or force a refresh it pops back into a 36?. How did you get the Franken-leko to appear? You might try deleting the label legend folder and creating a new label legend... Maybe there is some weird corruption there. michaelk Quote Link to comment
lane912
deleted the lable legend file and created a new one, no love. i think i may need to reinstail vw Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted February 24, 2010 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 24, 2010 It's probably something with your machine. As soon as I regenerate the instrument in your file it's fine. Before you reinstall try deleting your Vectorworks user folder. There was a similiar problem in earlier versions on the Mac but we were never able to reproduce the problem in house. Quote Link to comment
lane912
i deleted the user file and let vw build a new one and all seems fine. thank you Quote Link to comment
