michaelk
I suspect this may be a bug, but before submitting it and looking foolish, I thought I'd take the opportunity to look foolish here as well. In VW2010 Spotlight selecting "Set 3D Orientation" in the OIP (doesn't matter if any values are entered) of a fixture makes it invisible to =COUNT((INOBJECT & INSYMBOL & ('Light Info Record'.'Inst Type'='insert inst. type here'))) [also =COUNT((INOBJECT & ('Light Info Record'.'Inst Type'='Source 4 19deg'))) - INSYMBOL doesn't seem to matter] Deselecting "Set 3D Orientation" makes the instrument reappear in the count after recalculating the worksheet. Is there something really obvious I'm missing here? Example attached. michaelk Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted February 22, 2010 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 22, 2010 This is correct behavior. If you want information about the lighting device you should report on the Lighting Device. =COUNT((('Lighting Device'.'Symbol Name'='Source 4 19deg'))) The Light Info record does not reflect any user entered data and any modification of the record data will be overwritten. michaelk
Thanks, Kevin. I was trying to get fancy and have the report distinguish among different lamp wattages using as few criteria as possible and w/o using different symbols. All went well until I flipped one unit upside down. michaelk Quote Link to comment
