Cursor Offset

I have just installed VW2009 w/ SP4 onto my laptop with Vista 32-bit. When my cursor is in the drawing area the point where my cursor is visually is above and to the right of where things are drawn or captured when I click. Example: I put my cursor at the top right corner of a rectangle with the line tool active. When I click and draw, the line is drawn below and to the left of where my cursor is. I don't have snap to grid active. Any thoughts?

Does it do this with all the constraints turned off?

Yes. And it only does it in the drawing space. When I move into the palletes or the menus at the top, it corrects itself.

That would drive a person nuts...

It would be helpful if you could add your VW version and system info to your signature.

It would also be helpful if you could post a screen shot of the problem.

My case is exactly the same as the post by sancho1981 above.

Im using VW2009 with Vista-32bit

No contraints are on.

And yet when you go to draw a line (or do anything) the line is drawn 5mm below the cursor.

Finding it tricky to upload screen shot at the moment. :confused:

But anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

What happens when you tab in and force the cursor to go to a coordinate?

Does the curser go to a spot 5mm above the coordinate or on the coordinate?

Well, below the x of the cursor is a very faint grey square which is what appears to be the real drawing point.

When i first installed the programme all was fine, and all the endpoints of lines would high light when you went over them, now that doesnt happen.

But yes, if i wanted to pick up a line i had drawn and move it. I would have to click on it with the faint grey square 5mm below the cursor. The cursor marked x is useless....

Very frustrating...

Could this be something to do with endpoint settings?

No, i just reset my smart cursor settings, and it doesnt solve the problem. ?

What happens if you turn on full screen cursor?

Tried that, doesnt make any difference.

Its not a known bug then? The updates wont cure it?

Strange that other people have had the same problem also.

Ive searched google and this is the only place i can find that the problem has been mentioned.

It makes the programme un-usable.

I've never seen this before. The only obvious connection between christalcat and sancho is VW2009 and Vista 32 bit.

Makes me suspect you may have a video driver issue or a newer version of Quicktime than Vista/VW2009 is happy with.

Ive just installed correct version of quicktime V7.5, and that didnt fix it?
