  1. Booyah! I knew I would love this program. Many thanks! Shawn
  2. Is there a good way to create lighting sections in VW2009? Right now I have been trying to create a viewport on a new sheet layer with a side view of the 3-d set, but I can only get it in wireframe. I would like to build a set in 3-d space, switch to side view and draw my beam spreads and sightlines. Is this a pipedream? Thanks for your help.
  3. Yes. And it only does it in the drawing space. When I move into the palletes or the menus at the top, it corrects itself.
  4. I have just installed VW2009 w/ SP4 onto my laptop with Vista 32-bit. When my cursor is in the drawing area the point where my cursor is visually is above and to the right of where things are drawn or captured when I click. Example: I put my cursor at the top right corner of a rectangle with the line tool active. When I click and draw, the line is drawn below and to the left of where my cursor is. I don't have snap to grid active. Any thoughts?
  5. Thanks Gregory! I will give it a shot tonight. Smatticus, yes that is what I mean; the position summary. I will play with it and post what I find. Shawn
  6. Hey, I have VW2009. Is there a way to change/eliminate the containers around focus points? Also, is there a way to change the look of the Lighting Position inventory? Thanks in advance! Shawn
  7. I got it. Many many MANY apologies. When the handles came up and the cursor switched to a cross, I thought that's what I needed to use. I then tried doing it when the cursor turned to the resize arrow and it worked. You've been AWESOME! Thanks and again, I am sooo sorry to have taken up your time. Shawn
  8. I tried your file. No dice. I am using 2D selection tool with the "Single Object Interactive Scaling Mode" selcted and the position still moves with the label. I'm sorry I am being such a pain. Is there another setting I can look at? Shawn
  9. You were able to move the label independantly of the position? it. I created these from scratch, so maybe I did something wrong. I wil try your files tonight. Thanks. Shawn
  10. Here is a copy of the grids I am having problems with. Thanks again.
  11. I'd be happy to. I'll do it when I get home later tonight. I've only used VW for two shows and have had problems with both so I will attach two files. Thanks for all your help. Shawn
  12. I am using 2009. I dont have any sums up. Only the name of the position.
  13. I am setup just as you've suggested and I get the handles, but when I try to move the label associated with a lighting position it still moves the position with the label.
  14. I have read that the lighting positon lables have handles and that you can move those labels around without moving the lighting position, but when I try moving the label the entire lighting position moves with it. What am I doing wrong? Shawn
