CNC Support ?

I'm learning CNC programming, and it would be great if VW had support for CNC.

Ideally a plugin for gcode generation. But at least integration with MasterCAM.

Not exactly what you are asking for, but the VectorWOP module of interiorcad is a post-processor which exports in native formats to various machine controllers (predominantly European--Weeke, Homag, SCM, HolzHer, etc. ). NOT gcode, unfortunately.

Would STEP (.stp) support answer any of your needs? It seems like the MD module should support STEP, it's gotten to be the standard.

I'll start a sepearate topic for that, actually. Surprised it's not on the Wish List...

The CNC mills we have take generic gcode in txt format.

I'm sure there are some conversational controllers out there that will accept stuff in DXF and generate their own code, but our mills can't.

It would just be so GREAT if VW bought up a gcode package and sold it as a plugin that outputted in TXT format...
