Lee Rose
Perhaps I'm being naive. I have just received some revised plans from another department with 5 layers that matter in my drawing. I would like to replace the current layers with copies from the new drawing. Any suggestions on how to do this? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
You could either reference them in through design layer viewports or Set layer visibility to Active Only on the new drawing > Select All > Copy. in your drawing go to the layer you want > Past in Place. hth michaelk Quote Link to comment
billtheia
Sheet Layers or Design Layers? If Sheet Layers, you can't copy VPs from one drawing to another. If Design Layers, do as Michael said OR: Go to Organization dialog Select Design Layers tab Click "New" button at bottom left Click Import Design Layers radio button Choose source file Choose desired Design Layers Click "Import Layer Objects" check-box Click OK Note: This only works if the target file does not have layers with the same name as those you are trying to import. If it does, you'll have to delete them first. It really should be easier than this to move information from one VW file to another. Some kind of "merge" function would be really helpful.
