Bruce Kieffer
I'm having trouble with viewports not updating correctly when I turn classes on and off, or when I change design layers. Is this a known issue? Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Either it's goosed, or I don't know what I'm doing. Visibilities are all set correct, but layers that should appear in the viewport don't, and layers that shouldn't appear do. The OIP shows the layer info incorrect at first, then I mess with that a bit, and all of a sudden things appear as I have them set. I've tried updating all viewports, but that does not make any difference. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
This behavior also occurs after a prolonged work session with multiple sleep/wake cycles. A quit/relaunch of VW always manages to right the boat. Quote Link to comment
GWS
I too have recently come across this issue and a relaunch did indeed sort it out. Thanks islandmon Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
I tired the reboot, but no better. Something's wrong. Sheet layer visibilities are not sticking with viewports. Update viewport is not working. I think I'll post the file. Hopefully someone can figure it out and teach me about this, or confirm there's a problem with VW. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
OK. I got to mess with it a bit more. I see there's some problem with more than one viewport on a sheet layer. I'll report back later. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
I think I have it. I see that I can place a viewport on a different sheet layer using the OIP. That must be what I had set wrong before. Maybe I should be twittering this! Quote Link to comment
GWS
Hi Bruce It seems after looking at your file that you have 2 viewports on top of each other on sheet layer 2, I don't know if this is intentional but it maybe that you are not setting up both viewports. Otherwise the layer/class visibility seems to update when I change the settings through the OIP. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Guy, Thanks. I had found the "stacked" viewports and fixed that. All seems to be working good now. This is really all about my learning how to use viewports. Quote Link to comment
