Creating Door/Window Schedules

Recommended Posts

I'm working on a multi-family condo. I have unit plans 'multi dlvp'ed' onto each floor plan. What's the best way to generate door and window schedules? It seems that schedules can only reside in the file that contains the original PIO's (i.e. not in dlvp), is that accurate?

Can someone point me to a tutorial about creating and manipulating schedules, if any exists. Thanks in advance!

you can create a window or door schedule that looks at a DLVP, but it might look at all the DLVP's.

If you have my Vectorworks Essential Tutorial manual, there is an introduction to worksheets, but it is an introduction only. check out my blogs and podcasts, there might be some information on scheduling.

my short sharp training this month is looking at intermediate worksheets. We will look at several specific worksheet techniques to solve specific problems:

Counting Car Parks

Counting Landscape areas with several sites.

Building Occupancy for car park requirements

Building Occupancy for fire design.

Problems with design layer viewports.

Problems counting just one sort of joist.

Counting Site Areas (impermeable surface)

Roof Area calculations for downpipes or roofing materials.

Bracing worksheet using connected worksheets, IF statements and sorting.

Wall Area scheduling for quantity take-offs.

Wall Area/Glazing Area calculations.

genie,

Do you want to "count" ALL the doors and windows, or just one of each different type?

Do you want them all to have unique IDs, or can doors/windows of the same "type" have the same ID?

Check out a discussion about schedules, here:

If you need more help, continue to ask.
