gattoni
Hi, I would like to have a count iteration of each kind of symbol in a layer. How is it possible? I try to do it with a worksheet but without success for the moment. Thank you, Stephane Quote Link to comment
MattG
Do your symbols share a common record, or at worst a few different records? If so you can make a report pretty easily going to tools create report and choose the record associated with them and then the columns you would want. Otherwise I am not too sure. Pat Stanford
Create a worksheet. Go to the row header column of one of the rows and click and hold. Select Database as the type of row. In the Criteria dialog that comes up, set the first criteria to Layer is and the layer you want. Click the more button set the second criteria to Type is Symbol. In the first column of the database header row (4 not 4.1, 4.2 etc), put in a formula of =S This will display the symbol name for every symbol in the layer. Select one or more rows in the database and then drag the SUM tile to the column header for the first column. This will summerize all of the symbols with the same name, so you will have one row for each symbol type. If you put a formula of =COUNT into a header row cell, you will get a count of each type of symbol. Quote Link to comment
