alfresco
I am working on a landscape project where I have created a DTM for the site. I have contours and elevations. The property is a rolling topography with slope. I would like to alter the site and create large garden beds by increasing the grade by varying increments that follows the existing grade lines. If I use the modify tool I am asked for a single elevation. However, I do not want to produce a pad which is flat. I need to produce a grade which slopes? How do I Produce a proposed DTM for this site? Can I calculate volumes required? Thanks for your help! Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
create several pads inside one fence. give each pad a slope. you will find this Short Sharp Manual useful. http://www.archoncad.com/site-model-tutorial.html Quote Link to comment
Thom
Use a "open pad", convert a polyline to a pad using the objects from a polyline command. You can also give it a starting elevation and slope Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
step one, create the site model of the existing site using the existing contours. step 2, create ploygons for the graded areas, convert them to pads and add a fence. step 3, update your site model. step 4, go to the Object Info palette, update cut and fill there are several options here, and the short manual will work you through all the options for site modelling. alfresco
Thank you very much for your assistance. I have created a new proposed site model showing the fill sections and calculated volumes. Thanks again! Quote Link to comment
