2009 service pack 3 printing problem

After upgrading to service pack 3 I have problems printing to HP Designjet T1100 - was perfect in service pack 2 but now takes ages and uses up memory.

Any ideas?

I have just done a few prints to a HP DJ130NR via network and no issues since updating.

I did have issues a while ago which I tracked back to the 'spool smart' features of the HP printer drivers - the settings are embedded quite deep within the printer driver settings - IIRC it was a hidden setting. Can't remember whether I enabled them or disabled them.

I just stumbled across the bookmark that I used when debugging my issue. It may help, it did me.

Note the bit towards the end which talks about if GDI printing needs to rasterize the vector data then you need to disable rendersmart. It is possible that you have just breached a print size limit.

In the current drivers, IIRC the spoolsmart and rendersmart options are in a different place.
