Markus Dohner
Is there anyway to append --that is, bring in--classes from another VW document?. I want to maintain our office class standards and not resort to remaking the classes for a fresh document. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
In the New Class dialog box there is an option to Import Classes which will allow you to select from: - Drawings that are in the Standards folder. - Drawings located elsewhere via the Choose button. Use the Choose button and navigate to the file you want and after selection you will be able to import the Classes that you want from it. The same protocol works for Design Layers and Sheet Layers. In both cases all you need to do is navigate to the drawing you want and then import the Design Layers or Sheet Layers that you want respectively. Note: The import Design Layer protocol has an option to Import Layer Objects. Only checkmark this if that is what you actually want. Quote Link to comment
Dave P
Maybe I'm missing the point, but if the intent is to standardize the setup of new files why not create/import your standard classes, design layers and sheet layers in a blank drawing and save it as a template? That way each new file created using the template already has your standards built-in. Quote Link to comment
