civil and structural

Recommended Posts

Hi

I just joined a Civil and Structural engineering company and they're using "ManualCAD" (Aaaaaaarrrrghhh). I would like to know from anyone if Vectorworks can be used in these disciplines, especially Civil Engineering. I would particularly be interested in people that are currently using VW for these two fields. I don't want to look like an idiot for recommending VW and it can't do the job. All advice or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Honestly, the ability to analysis & present complex datasets in both 2d&3d makes VW a superb tool for Civil Engineering. Over the years VW has proven invaluable during the creation & production of plans & shopdrawings for roads, marinas, airports, hospitals, hotels, malls, fuel depots, resorts, as well as numerous commercial developments.
