Gary D
this is a real newbie question. To design hillside residential projects in LA I am assuming I will need both? I have 20 years hand-drafting experience, and now want to make the jump to digital. Quote Link to comment

D Wood
Gary Welcome to the forums. It would help if you added a signature describing your system. In answer to your question - it might depend on whether you design buildings or landscapes. Mar is probably right if it is the former. Quote Link to comment
IanH
Landmark and Architect share many tools. I am away at the moment, but will try and find a list to a feature set as to what is included in Landmark but it not included in Architect. If you do want both feature sets, then choose the Designer product as it has the features for all the products. This is the option that I chose as, being a garden designer I needed the Landmark product but there were some features from Architect that in the past I wished I had access to, so I chose designer to cover all, albeit at a price premium. brudgers
Designer contains both products and is not substantially more than either (at least in terms of CAD software). Quote Link to comment
Gary D
Welcome to the forums. It would help if you added a signature describing your system. System will likely be fully loaded macbook pro when they're released in the next few weeks. Also waiting for VW 2009. Thanks for all the advice, what a friendly helpful forum! I'll dig a little deeper into the VW promotional material and see if I can find a feature comparison between ARCHITECT and LANDMARK. Looks like ARCHITECT is all I need.
