eamon
Hi all I am trying to draw some basic walls. to eventually create a 3d space. It is a theatre. I am currently using the wall tool. When I go back to check the measurements, I find the wall has changed length by different margins ie if it was drawn at 5010mm, it could change to 5065mm or similiar when I recheck it. I am finding this very frustrating to say the least. Has anybody any suggestions to probably very simple problem?? thanks eamon Quote Link to comment
gmm18
Two suggestions: 1st: Try updating to VW11.5.1 http://www.nemetschek.net/downloads/fundamentals/index.php 2nd: Try creating a "Guides" class and draw rectangles and/or lines of where you want your general walls, then draw with your wall tool snapping to those intersections. This will give you precision. It can also be used to "proove" whether the wall is actually moving, or it is just not drawn the same way you thought you were drawing it. eamon
Thanks for the pointers. Will look at the guide class idea. never thought of that. Has anybody experienced this before? It is just a preference setting? thanks eamon Quote Link to comment
eamon
Just an update. While the guide class is a good idea, I am afraid to say it did not work. It looks like I will have to move to polygons to resolve this problem. cheers eamon Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Check and make sure you don't have your Snap to Grid turned on, or if you do have it turned on, that it is set for a reasonable grid. Pat Quote Link to comment
