starling75
Hi I am trying to render walls with texture applied by class to the left-side of the wall, but the result isn't quite good... Here is the pic Does anyone know some trick how to map the texture by class more fluently, so the texture bitmap segments connect each other without disturbing dislocations? Thanks Quote Link to comment
panthony
If this is one single wall height than your wall texture is smaller than the wall is high. Try and resizing the texture resource and see if that helps. Pete A Quote Link to comment
gmm18
Is this in-fact one wall? Or is it two walls stacked up? Or is this a window-trim issue? Sometimes trim can cause distorted wall textures... like say you had an interior trim on this window, it might be causing this problem on the exterior. Quote Link to comment
starling75
There are at least two walls stacked up in the model.... That's the problem. How to align textures mapped onto stacked walls.. Quote Link to comment
gmm18
I just made two walls, gave each the same texture, and they appear to line up. I think this is typical, I don't understand why yours is not working like this. But... To fix it, you can use the Attribute Mapping tool. Go to a Front or Side view so you can look at the walls straight on. Set it to OpenGL rendering. Then enable the Attribute Mapping tool. Move the texture until it lines up. Quote Link to comment

Yes, this could be the solution but only when attaching the texture directly to the selected object. When applying texture by class or using wall-style it doesn't work.. If you make connected wall segments with different lenghts on first layer and on the second layer only one wall segment (lenght equals the sum of segments lenght) textures won't line up... starling75
Although the texture is applied only on the left side of the wall (right and center mapping are switched off) The texture always discovers on the exterior half of the opening face (window jamb) see pic any idea?
