CS1
Below is an extract from the VW2008 help menu re:Loft surfaces Creating a Loft Surface The Loft Surface tool creates complex NURBS surface(s) from two or more cross sections with no rail, with a rail and one or more cross sections, or with two rails and one cross section. A rail is a guide curve which determines the shape of the resulting surfaces, in the one rail mode. In Birail Sweep mode, the rails do not need to intersect the cross sections. What is meant by cross sections Quote Link to comment

CS1
I had a look at the examples above and dont see how I can achieve the same. In the example it appears that there are two extruded squares of the same size, one hovering over the other, then there is a smaller extruded square hovering in between. I tried to replicate the example in a new file but when I use the loft tool and hover over the extrusions no option comes up for me to click on the extrusions. What am I missing?
