Markus Barrera-Kolb
Does this happen to anyone else: with the polyline tool (5) selected, set to straight-line segment (first option), every once in a while it'll want to draw a curved segment instead of a straight one. If I hit to remove that segment and try again, it'll usually switch back to straight-line mode. Just a random bug? Quote Link to comment
MattG
Someone can correct me if I am wrong here, but I believe this is because you are dragging when you are clicking your second point. It lets you make sort of spline like motions if you drag or hold ctrl as going to your second or subsequent point. Matt Quote Link to comment
atari2600
I use the click-drag feature often to draw lighting plans, so I can "spline" my wire lines between light symbols. On the other hand, if you are not intentionally holding down the button while clicking the mouse, I would suspect there might be a bug (or a severe lag between your mouse response and the cpu).If you happen to hold the button down while clicking, your line will become a curve, until you click again. Markus Barrera-Kolb
Absolutely right - it's the click-drag thing. I'm still on the early part of the learning curve, being a recent convert, so I imagine I'll be running into things like this for a while. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
brudgers
It took me seven months to discover it. Fortunately at that point, I was no longer surprised by such things. Quote Link to comment
