Andrew Mac
I Am working on a very simple building- One floor and a roof. I have been working a model format and it seems that the file is huge- 35 MB- It been rather difficult converting to a dwg and then sending it to consultants- it has been a slow process. I can't imagine if I had a more complex model- would most systems just crawl when trying to render? Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
dcont
Try purging the file of items that are not used. Tools-->Purge Unused Objects. Quote Link to comment
RonMan
FYI, I am working on a 6,000 sf two story residential project. The file size is 172MB. Large is relative. RonMan Quote Link to comment
D Wood
So it's still true what they say about Texas ............. Quote Link to comment
RonMan
Texas is big, but Alaska is much bigger. Someday we Alaskans are going to divide the state in have and make Texas the 3rd largest state. RonMan (an Alaskan doing time in Texas) Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
I had a file last month that was more than 300MB. It was a building with 23 appartements and 4 shops and not so big. I had the option to save rendered viewports on because ittake too much time to render each time. And this is one of the thing that makes this file big. It also was completely hybrid (2D/3D). Files get huge in VW once it's not only 2D. Quote Link to comment
RonMan
Big is pretty relative, but my ability to type is dismal. We will divide Alaska in half, not have. RonMan Quote Link to comment
