Zoom to Rotate 3D Object Not Working

Recommended Posts

Pat,

Here are the steps to recreate the problem:

Open a new blank document.

Set the view to front.

Draw a 1" x 1" square.

Extrude the square 1".

Draw a 45? line from the square's bottom right corner upward and about 2" long.

Select the extrusion.

Click the rotation tool. Have it set for Standard Rotation Mode.

Click the bottom right corner of the extrusion.

Click the top right corner of the extrusion.

Start dragging to rotate the extrusion's top right corner so it will touch the line.

Zoom in on the line. On my Mac I press command spacebar to do this.

Release the rotation when your cursor touches the line.

The results should be the extrusion rotated and touching the line.

Not so when I do it!

I have my VW prefs set to Click drag drawing, so how yours is set will determine your click sequence. Please let me know if these instructions are clear so you can reproduce this problem. Thanks.
