Bruce Kieffer
Rotating a 3D object and zooming in to "land" on a certain point does not work (for me). It does work with 2D objects. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Bruce, I don't understand what you mean. Can you explain what you are really trying to do so maybe we can offer some hints? Pat Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Pat, Here are the steps to recreate the problem: Open a new blank document. Set the view to front. Draw a 1" x 1" square. Extrude the square 1". Draw a 45? line from the square's bottom right corner upward and about 2" long. Select the extrusion. Click the rotation tool. Have it set for Standard Rotation Mode. Click the bottom right corner of the extrusion. Click the top right corner of the extrusion. Start dragging to rotate the extrusion's top right corner so it will touch the line. Zoom in on the line. On my Mac I press command spacebar to do this. Release the rotation when your cursor touches the line. The results should be the extrusion rotated and touching the line. Not so when I do it! I have my VW prefs set to Click drag drawing, so how yours is set will determine your click sequence. Please let me know if these instructions are clear so you can reproduce this problem. Thanks. Bruce Kieffer
I have found the problem is somehow related to zooming in using command+spacebar which is part of VW's boomerang mode. Quote Link to comment
