Space tool: ability to turn polygon off by Class, leaving Name

I'd like the ability to turn off the polygon of a Space by Class, while leaving the Name/Number on.

At the moment if you turn off the polygon using Class it also turns the Name/Number off too.

Christiaan try using Custom Modification to create a selection script. Use Type = Space. When you run this script it will select all of the Space objects meeting the criteria and open the Properties dialog box. By toggling the Show Poly option you can then have the polygons show or not show.

You can have the text and the poly in different classes!

^true, but if you set the class of the poly invisible, the text will get invisible too, no matter what class it has.

EDIT: It would be better to have one class for the PIO, one for the poly, and one for the text. Now the class of the PIO is the class of the poly...

Thanks Mike. Good tip, but definitely still a pain in the ass in comparison to simply turning off a Class in the Nav Palette.

Christiaan I agree there is a need for a simpler method. Another option would be to have a menu toggle under the AEC menu for hiding or showing the polygons. Personally I would prefer that because it is a more obvious solution.

But there is another method of doing it:

You can set the class of the space to no fill and no line. If the room name is in another class, then you'll have only the name left.
