reshape 3d wall tool does not produce square openings

picture "corner" shows pink lines and black.

black is wall

pink is 2d guides

if i set the bottom of wall opening to the bottom of my guides then i cannot get the top of my wall opening any closer to my guide than .039"

we need to be able to have 90˚ or more w/ the wall reshape tool.

But it will never be 90?. It's just not possible with walls.

DWorks, you are correct in that you can't get verticals if you manually reshape - they will always be off vertical by exactly 1 mm at a scale of 1:100.

If you use the Fit to Roof method (aka Geometry) you can get an exact vertical edge. Therefore if you have to have exact vertical edges use an extruded profie on a temporary layer and then use the Fit to Roof Command. In the example shown above you would choose the bottom of the wall to fit to the geometry.

mike m oz, thanks for the thought but, no way! i tried to build a 3d fire place & chimney and it was way too complicated. i am not going to add more complication to it.

Using the Fit to Geometry method is often quicker. The bonus is it is precise.
