Need to trim 45deg angle on extrude

Hello all,

I have done the following,

used the angle tool and created the size I wanted,

then Convert To Group,

then I extrude that to 4'.

I now need to make the ends have a 45deg angle.

I have tried to Trim and Clip Surface, both did not work.

Help? Did I even create the 3d Angle properly? Is there an easier way?

Use the Split tool in the Split by Line mode. Discard the piece you don't want.

To ensure the angle is at 45? and the resulting face is vertical you need to do the split in Top/Plan View.

I got that, I ment creating a 3d piece of angle iron! or tee or channel for that matter
