chstech
Hello all, I have done the following, used the angle tool and created the size I wanted, then Convert To Group, then I extrude that to 4'. I now need to make the ends have a 45deg angle. I have tried to Trim and Clip Surface, both did not work. Help? Did I even create the 3d Angle properly? Is there an easier way? Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Use the Split tool in the Split by Line mode. Discard the piece you don't want. Quote Link to comment
chstech
Thanks Mike!! I knew it could be done, just didn't know how! When I made the angle 3d, did I do that correctly or is there an easier way? Thanks Again Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
To ensure the angle is at 45? and the resulting face is vertical you need to do the split in Top/Plan View. Quote Link to comment

mike m oz
Your method is the best way of creating the base 2D structural shapes. Quote Link to comment
