willofmaine
I can zoom in and out very fast when working on design layers, but on sheet layers with viewports, especially lots of them and/or complex ones (such as elevations of large and/or detailed buildings), zooming is slower and jumpier. Is this something that a faster and/or more RAM imbued graphics card might help with? Any thoughts much appreciated! Thanks, Will Quote Link to comment
taoist
Most of the "work" if you will is still done by the CPU. Unfortunately, it will still be awhile before all of this Graphics GPU's and ram will be put to good use. A video card designed specifically for CAD (Nvidia Quadro) would probably help. For now get the most powerfull CPU your motherboard will handle or upgrade. Taoist Quote Link to comment
willofmaine
Thanks for the response, Taoist. It's not terribly slow, just noticeably slower than when working in design layers. I think for now I'll probably just accept it; as far as I know it doesn't get much faster than the 2.6 GHz CPU that I know have. Thanks again, Will Quote Link to comment
