Petri
Am a missing something? A step perhaps... Can there be only ten easy steps in this? 1. Organizer. 2. Classes. 3. Select a class. 4. Click Edit. 5. Choose the fill colour pop-up and see a list view of some colours. 6. Choose a Color Palette. 7. Click "Grid" button and see the Palette Manager window in Color List mode. 8. Click "Grid" button. 9. Choose a colour. 10. Say OK. Easy peasy! EDIT 11. Say OK. Still way too easy. Christiaan
You could cut a few steps out by Right/CTRL-clicking on the class in the Nav Palette. Quote Link to comment
Petri
Perhaps, but when I'm training new users, I think they need to first see the entire process with the simplest possible user interface. Shortcuts are not that - and not consistent, either. Quote Link to comment
altoids
I normally bitch and moan about VW's lousy UI design, but on this one, I think Petri is whack*. You can complete the editing with 4 or 5 operation (3 or 4 mouse operation and hitting return twice) using VW12.5 on a Mac and see the entire operation. Any menu item that opens a dialog box requires 2 operations (selecting the menu, and clicking OK when finished) so noting takes less than 2 ops and 3 if you actually want to do something within the dialog box. 1) Tools>Organization... (1 click) 2) Classes, if not already selected. (0 or 1 click) 3) Double click on the class. 4) Choose the fill color you want from the pop-up color grid. (1 click) 5) Press twice. Fewer than 1/2 the number of steps. Oh Petri... ----------------- *Actually, I always think Petri is always whack, which is what makes this all so fun. Quote Link to comment
Petri
Try that with more than one active Color Palette. I thought we were supposed to have access to any number of them. Returns are, BTW, counted as "clicks". Quote Link to comment
