dontevenjoke
I have tried quite a few work-arounds to be able to convert the ceiling grid tool to a 3D ceiling layout. I haven't been able crack it. The reason I want to do it is the client wants the ceiling tiles to run in the non-standard direction and I need to prove it is going to look funny (dumb). So, I just need an indication of how it would look. Edited September 5, 2007 by dontevenjoke Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
- In Top Plan View select your ceiling object and copy it. - Paste in Place. - Convert to Group. - Ungroup. - Extrude by 1/2" (15 mm). This will form a new group. - Elevate to required height less 1/2" (15 mm) so that it sits just under your existing ceiling object. You should do both options giving each one a unique class so that you can control which one is visible by switching their class visibility on and off respectively.. Quote Link to comment
