I am a new user of 12 and remember in my older V'works files having accesories available to me that cannot work now in the newer version. I really need furniture and cannot use the Knolls stuff in the package I was issued. Where is the old stuff? Are there fans? As much as I'd like the luxury of sitting around making these from scratch, time is not on my side. Is there a place to download these items?

I use a PC with XP system

open your old VW resource files and save tham to your VW 12 folder. then you can add them to the resource broswer. hope this helps...

Did you read Jim's post and open the files with your symbols in VW12 then save them?

Everything you had in a previous version is still available, as long as you didn't down-grade your license (i.e. go from Architect 11 to Fundamentals 12)

Is there a specific library file you are looking for?

It may be a matter of locating the file in the correct folder.

you need to manually upgrade all your older VW files with those symbols by opening each one in VW12, and saving it as... into your new VW12 folder. then you can add them as required into your resource browser while in VW12. It's not that efficient but it works.

C:\Program Files\VectorWorks 12.0.0\Libraries\Object Sampler\VectorWorks Basic

if you are windows version

should be similar location for Mac
