voodoo preference settings 12.5.1

my normal setting in vectorworks preferences is for "offset duplications to be OFF.

sometimes, apparently randomly, it changes itself to ON...

i only discover this when i use the ctrl-D command + the duplication appears offset, so i don't know when the pref actually changes. is there a hidden or default shortcut key i may be pressing to toggle this preference? or is it a bug?

i can't find a workspace item for the particular;

VECTORWORKS PREFERENCES > OFFSET DUPLICATIONS

choice. where do i look?

i know where to find it as an option in VW prefs, the problem i'm having is that it seems to be toggling ON by itself, without me going to VW prefs.

i was wondering if there was a hidden shortcut key to toggle it?

The same thing happens to me only the preference that goes off the reservation is opaque smart cursor. I usually don't use that but every once in a while the screen hints get the yellow box. I have to go into preferences and turn ON opaque smart cursor, leave preferences (it is still on), then enter preferences again and turn it off.

Not a big deal but it's been happening all through version 12, or about a couple years here.
