Daryl Wood
I have a set of rafters I need to head-off. This head-off will be perpendicular to the rafter angle. When using a framing member tool, VW tells me that I can only rotate a hybrid object on the Z axis, probably due to the 2d component of the hybrid. Okay, so should I then just use a 3d object? panthony
Daryl, Yes, in some situations it is quicker to build a 3D object. Very simple though...just go to a view that you can draw the 2D representation of the object an extrude to its depth while in that view. You can also build the 3D object in plan then rotate it to the position you need. Pete A Quote Link to comment
