bonus
How do I import classes used in a previous project into a new file? So far I have copied and pasted all objects in the old file into the new one and deleted all objects right away. All assigned classes get imported and stay in the new file. It's easy to do and works all right, but just can't be the right way to do it... So what is the right way? Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
Is the new file empty when you import? What version are you importing from? Quote Link to comment

G_Hannigan
Or "Save Copy as", give a new name. In new file, "Select All", "Delete". Classes, Layers remain. All you save is the "Group", "Copy" & "Paste" steps. Not much difference, timewise. Quote Link to comment
bonus
Ok, thank you for answering. Still, I'm not happy with this way of doing it. It requires that there is an object in every class - if not, empty classes will not be copied. I would like to see a "import classes from file" function - the same way it's done in the resource browser. Quote Link to comment
Guest
The best thing to do is delete all the objects in the drawing. The classes and layers will remain. If you want to get rid of the layers, too - you can do that as well. Save the file as a template file. Every time you want to start a project with that specific class structure, go to File>New and select Create New File from Template rather than New Blank Document. Quote Link to comment
