ErichR
In experimenting with the Create Section Viewport command, I was pleasantly surprised to be easily able to section the 3D elements of a plan and have them recorded as descrete viewports on a sheet layer. However, the section lines do not show up in the viewport of the plan where the section lines were drawn. Is there a way to do this? Quote Link to comment

ErichR
Naturally, I did that - found Section Line Instances in online help before posting this question. Lots and lots of words, but not a lot of help. Spent the better part of an hour going around in circles. Thought that someone out there would be able to answer the question, which, I think, should have a simple answer. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted July 5, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 5, 2006 I'm sorry, Erich, I can't say it any clearer than the help topic "Section Line Instances". I reviewed it and it seems reasonably clear. Quote Link to comment
MKingsley
With the section viewport selected, click on the "Section Line Instances" button in the OIP. From there you can select onto which Design layer or Sheet layer you want the section lines to appear. Quote Link to comment
