DTM and retaining walls?

We are working on a residence and the owner wants us to work up a 3d model, through VW 12, so he can understand the site, and how it is located.

I have the topo. from the surveyor, that I imported and created a 'site model'. We are 'digging' the back of the garage into the hill, and I am trying to formulate the best way to make a retaining wall, so the 'site model' will reference it and be updated with the cut.

Any clues/instghts?

Also, how do I give a random object a fence to adjust the site model

you can use site modifiers to place the retaining wall. (that means a pad and a fence). Place this in the area that you want to retain.
