Import Vectorworks document

It would great to be able to import Vectorworks documents.

Yes indeed. Often i need all objects from one layer, so i would like to import this layer into my new document. It used to be, when creating a new layer, one could choose from a standard, and all objects were imported along. Now it seems only the layername is imported....

I'm assuming you want to import VW documents into other VW documents?

Yeap, and to be able to choose which parts (layers, classes, etc.)

To import all objects from a layer, including the layer name (which should be different from your existing layer names), add a Workgroup Refrence. Delete the reference and save the objects. C'est fini!

What Christiaan is talking about is a more sophisticated and controllable import feature, and I would like it to include the ability to import Sheet Layers and Viewports.

(BTW, Christiaan, is that pronounced "yeep" or "yep?")

Indeed, that would be really great!!! We use lots of drawings that we need again, or when making presatation, we want to merge some seperate files.....
