islandmon
While using Acrobat Pro 7 to edit a PDF created from VW, I rec'd an error indicating a failure due to the font 'ArialMS' not being embeded. Since I only used basic 'Arial' in the VW file, this was confusing. I have checked all my fonts and I do not have a font named 'ArialMS' anywhere. Since VW uses my System Fonts, I would assume that 'Arial' would be embeded. After I changed the font in Acrobat to 'Arial' , it could then be edited. My question is , where is VW getting that ArialMS font from ? VW only lists the System Fonts. 'ArialMS' is not in my System Fonts or on any of my drives. Help !!! Quote Link to comment
Guest
If you are using Adobe to create the PDF, it's not VW that is specifying ArialMS - it's the PDF writer. I would contact adobe for resolution of this. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Katie, thx for your reply. I'm using the OSX Print to PDF protocols via GIMP. Any ideas on how to beat this ? Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Tried using a different print driver? Quote Link to comment
islandmon
This issue was resolved by changing to the Adobe PDF 7 driver for the print to PDF from VW. Then using OSX / GIMP for printing the PDF to the legacy HP430 Plotter. Thank you for your suggestions. eja Quote Link to comment
